I'm Not used to this type of system, opposite of the omc points setting, I have this motor and replaced all of the frayed, cracked wiring that was shorting out the motor. It had weak spark on both cylinders so I hope the stator is in working order, just bad wiring and dirty points. The points were pretty bad shape as well so I removed them to thoroughly clean them. I don't have a manual for this motor so would someone walk me through the process of setting /adjusting the points. I'm used to the omc system. Thanks

If your points were in bad shape you really should replace them and the insulator blocks as well these are high voltage points that fire when they close and the insulators can easily leak to ground...gap is .020

Thanks, the points were ok , no pitting or burns, just needed a good clean and polish . Both insulator blocks were replaced , 1 was ok the other had a carbon trail were it was leaking voltage. I'm working on this motor for a friend and he doesn't want to spend a lot so that's why I didn't tell him to get new points
On the point setting, don't I have to set them at tdc or ? dint see a "top" setting on the cam like imc
