71 Evinrude 50 hp rectifier part number help

I have a rectifier for a 71 evinrude 50 hp that I'm trying to replace. But have had no success <br />crossreferencing this part number.<br />The part number on the chassie and other info is:<br />510885 (located on the housing)<br />it a 3 wire<br />Varo<br />R-178<br />7012<br /><br />and is the correct replacement part number 18-5708.<br />Any help is appreciated. John.... OMC's part number, and the superceeded numbers for that rectifier are as follows: 580841-> 582307-> 582399-> 583408.<br /><br />Sierra's part number for that same rectifier is 18-5708.<br /><br />The average list price is approximately $45.00.
