'72 18/20 Evinrude

I just bought an 18hp evinrude outboard. Number#18203R-E0145 As far as I can tell it's a 1972. My question: the 18 and 20hp engines have the same bore and stroke, right? So what's the difference? :confused:

Marketing. OMC offered an evinrude 18 and a johnson 20.
