the prop will have a little play turning left and right when in gear. should not have any in and out. tighten prop nut, or it's missing the spacer. exhaust comes you the prop. sure a 50 will pull a skier, depending on the boat is it on. i use to ski behind a 1950 15 hp. skiiing came into vogue, when the 33hp were the thing to have.

If the prop SHAFT moves 1/32" sideways/up and down, you got trouble. Or are you detecting looseness of the prop on the shaft? I learned to ski behind a 10hp Johnson. But I was a lot lighter then and it was a light plywood kit boat.

hmm if i grap the prop it seems i can move the prop and shaft all, its not the prop on the shaft , i guess u can say its the shaft, 1/32 of a inch is kinda drastic, i checked it today and its not to bad, il just have to get a indicator and see how bad, thanks for the info

remove the prop and just check the shaft.
