72' 65 HP Evinrude has water in bottom cylinder

Need some advice to be sure-<br /><br /> Just put this motor in water for first time since restoration. Bottom cylinder is getting water. Head Gasket was new and okay and cylinder has same compression as other two at 140-150. Is it possible for water to get in cylinder from exhaust side? I can't figure out any other way. Also, I expect I need to pull block to fix this. What should I be looking for?<br />Appreciate any help!

Paul,<br /><br />Yes, water can enter from the exhaust cover gasket.
