72 Evinrude 100 Starflite elec shift..

Put the lower unit back on.. everything is lined up and on right.. Still get no water pumping through the exhaust holes.. and still stuck in foward only. The wires are getting power to them when in neutral and reverse as they are supposed to.. Any ideas would be great.. This motor runs perfect besides those problems. Thanks!

I bet you do not have those plastic guide tubes lined up right. They are very tricky. As far as the shifting problem some one that knows more than me about that will be along shortly.
