72 evinrude misfire

I need some advice on my 72 100hp I am getting a misfire and no start after the motor has warmed up. Pulse pack is original to the motor (no im not joking) when i pulled the flywheel off i noticed the trigger and distributor have small cracks in them. I noticed when I fire it up cold it has a misfire on #4 but goes away after about 20 seconds. Then after about an 1/2 hour or hour of use it will start to idle rough at low speed and die and will not restart for about 20 minutes.


I figure it would be easiest to just list what I have done so far

Rebuilt carbs
replaced wires / plugs
Pulled flywheel cleaned out everything under and sensor

Have you actually checked for spark when it woun't start?

If you go to the CDI electronics website and look up your engine, there is a troubleshooting guide to check out your ignition system.
