This 72 Gypsy tri-hull has fiberglass floors and was carpeted overtop of that. There are a few soft spots about the size of a small plate throughout the floor. My first question?
1. How to get the glue up from where the carpet was gued down?
2. Do I need to re-do the entire floor or can I pull the carpet and let those spots dry and then glass reinforce them?

It's not the fiberglass that has gone soft.... the wood below it is probably rotted. You need to investigate further. You need to peek under the deck at the decking, the flotation, the transom ......... you may have more than an entire floor to repair.

I think this boat only has two stringers in the center with the foam on top of that. On the sides i didn't see much support under the initial deck from some pics I saw of another guys gypsy. Is there wood decking under the glass floor?

Re: 72 Gypsy Deck Questions??

The floor is normally a sheet of plywood with fiberglass over the top, its the plywood that gets soft (rotten) and needs to be replaced. The problem is that when you find the soft spots in the floor it means the rest of the wood (transom and stringers) are either bad right now, or soon will be.

Do a search here on "soft spots" or "soft spots in the floor" and then read for a while, you'll get an idea of what you need to do.
