'72 Johnson 125hp

Having trouble getting it started. It will run OK once I get it going. But we have been stranded many times in the middle of the lakes tring to get it started. Also, sometimes it won't idle low enough to get it in gear. Anyone have any suggestions to get this motor going again? It's not the fuel, filters, or plugs. Thanks for the help!!

First check to make sure the Carb linkage is correct. (Link & Sync)(No Binding, Also)Then<br />I would try a Carb rebuild. Could be floats, needle seats, ECT. that need attention. Others may have more info for you!
