72 johnson 20hp flywheel

I finally got the broken flywheel pulled off and everywhere I call they are asking for the casting model on the bottom. I see nothing but "N B" and "set points .020" and thats the only thing I can find on there. It has one magnet and it came off a 1972 Johnson 20 hp electric start motor. (model number 20R72R). Can anyone help me out?

I don't see an electric start version in the parts diagrams ... but part # 581062 has teeth on the outer edge of the flywheel, so perhaps it was used for both rope start and electric start.

You can post a want ad on Antique Outboard Motor Club Inc, (AOMCI) section called webertise and request parts. List it as want to buy in the title. Click the button on the right hand part of the screen labeled start new topic

Many members have parts motors and I have bought things from them at a very reasonable price and have always walked away happy with my purchase. Also salvage yard also monitor the webertise site. I have gotten response from them in addition to our respectable AOMCI members in the webertise section.

In the OMC part diagram, the part number is: 0581062, also it's No Longer Available.

I'd try one of the scrapyards Cajun mentioned or watch e-bay. Just make sure you don't buy a cracked or warped one.
