72 Mercury 500 Price

I am considering just selling this motor instead of putting more money into it. It starts up and idles. It needs the carbs rebuilt, timing adjusted, and reverse work. It is in good condition for a 72. I have the controls and they are also in good shape. What is a fair price for this motor? Thanks

I recently sold a running(not good WOT though) '71 80hp for $450 w/ controls, and I was pretty happy with that price.
