I need brushes for my power trim motor and seals for one ram, carb kits, and my battery isn't charging.
I can't find these parts and was wondering if anyone knew the cheapest place to get parts for older motors online.

Also, the power trim controls for my motor are on a 3 button controller. Can they be wired into a thumb controller on a throttle/shifter control?

Thanks,
Steve

Steve, Carb kits(gaskets, needle and seat and float) and the rectifier (likely battery charging fix) are available in many places. Radio Shack makes a superior rectifier for less than $5. The carb gasket kits are less than $10 ea, and are available from sierra.

The trim motor brushes will be harder to find. Try dougrussell.com and see if they are still available. Do the same for the trim ram seals. If you just need the Trim Ram rod seal (3/4" Oring), you can get one from mercruiser. It is the same one that is used on the Alpha 1 Gen one driveshaft top.

I haven't been able to use the trim yet because of the motor brushes, but when I turned the knob on the unit (I guess to engage it?) fluid dripped out of one of the rams. Is that the o-ring, or do I need to take it apart and look at it inside to determine what is leaking?

Thanks alot for your help!!
