this is a motor i recently purchased with the #2 and #4 cylinders not firing, i have determined there is a bad sensor coil and i was under the impression that this could only be remedied by changing the "canned" timer base assembly. However after removing the flywheel i have a clear view of the sensor coils that seem to be easily removed, is this normal or has someone possibly changed the ignition system on this motor, the power pack and everything else seems to be original. The only other possibility i have come up with is that the motor is not a '73 as stated on all the paperwork. Any help or theories would be much appreciated.
