The boat I am restoring is missing the transom cover (the aluminum piece that goes from one transom cap to the other) I am either looking for one of these that someone might have sitting around (which would be the ideal solution), or some ideas on how to construct something similar, with minimal difficulty/cost. (like thin piece of aluminum to cover the region.)

And now the pictures.....

This isn't updated regularly because i keep all progress pictures on my phone.

Thanks, I am sure there will be much insight here.

Try a window -glass shop . there is a great similarity in the molding they use and what is on the starcraft. If wide enough and flat you can easly make the bend as you install it. Use a rubber mallet to help, but that stuff really bends nicley.

Look for a stock aluminum retailer, they will sell steel and Alum. Here in Michigan there is a company called Alro, you can pick up almost anything you want, prices don't seem too bad. Maybe try a trailer manufacturer???
