73 50hp Johnson trying to hook up tach and volt meter

Can anyone tell me what the colors are for a tach and also for a volt meter coming off this motor.? I have 2 groups of 3 wires that come up to the captain . One group has a 3 prong connector with purple black grey and the other group has blade connectors that have black tan purple ! What does what on each group please!

A gray wire in the control box is the pulse feed for the tach.

For the volt meter I think purple is the switched 12V connection.

Got any idea what the tan wire is?

I think it goes to the overheat buzzer.

All hooked up and working, thanks a bunch ! So would that be saying if I was to have a temp gauge that tan wire is the sender?

Nope. It just fires the buzzer. It's not a sending unit.
