73' Evinrude 25hp Model# 25352A

Hey all,

Wondering if anyone has any tips for setting points on this engine to achieve a little better performance. All components are new which include ignition coils, points and booster coil. I set the points and it runs OK but I have heard there are more precise methods for setting these little motors up that get more RPM's out of them. Thanks in advance.

They do make a tool for that but if you got them right at .020" you won't get any more R's out of it.
