73 evinrude carbs (correct one?)

I am in the midst of a rebuild on a 1973 65 hp. since I am going all the way.. I have a question regarding the carbs.. I thought there would be some sort of either low speed or high speed adjustments.. but these have fixed jets.. can anyone confirm that that year had fixed jet carbs? thanks.<br />Stan

I cleaned out the carbs and checked the main jet as this sucker was really sucking the gas..<br />the number on the main jet was 55D.. I have no listing of what it should be.. suggestions appreciated..<br />and thanks DJ for the info.<br />Stan
