I have been flatout doing uni work. I thought I would do a good thing and start the motor up and, now a new problem has emerged.Sounds like that coil worked for you. Or did you get another ?

Just remember do NOT attempt to remove the dist rotor, it is part of the shaft and not just NLA< they are starting to get harder to find.
If it is the NLA trigger, CDI has a source, and there are a LOT of great old motors still alive with CDI parts.
