73 Johnson 20hp - No Spark !

Hello,

I have a 1973 Johnson 20 hp. motor, I have been working on. I have replaced both spark plugs, but I can not get any spark. I can hold on to the plug with my fingers, and I do get a little sock, but not to bad. When I have both plugs out at the same time, I don't get any spark. I have a set of points, I was going to try next, but wanted to get some advice from someone who know's what they are doing !! Please point me in the right directions.

You are going in the right direction. Get that flywheel off and see what's wrong in there. Points are a likely suspect.
