I got a carb kit and replaced the float and needle and the gasket. That is all i used and now i cant get the float set right it keeps running the bowl out of fuel. Can someone give me some details how to set the float correctly? I finally got it to run at idle but as soon as i throtle up it dies then if i slowly throtle up it will run but the second i throttle down it dies. Iv pulled the carb open and every time there is either no gas or very little in the bowl. It has a new fuel filter that was put on before i got the motor and from looking at it it looks new.

I have read that and have tried setting the float level and still no go. Thanks so mabey i have something else causing the problem. I know the fuel hose is old could mabey this be causing problems for it not to be keeping the fuel going in?

Remove the fuel line at the carb, pump the primer bulb and you should get a squirt of fuel with every squeeze. If you have fuel and it will not go minto the carb, it would probably be a needle and seat problem, or the float is not adjusted properly.

well i have the pump together i think and it says you can blow in the fuel in but not the fuel out. I can blow in the fuel in but it is tuff and makes a noise like a grrrrr. What im saying is its not like blowing through a straw. This normal?

Well it ran in a tube so it must be right. But it sounded like it was sucking air when priming the bulb. It is old and kinda stiff so i picked up one of the heavy duty gas lines its like twice as thick.
