Replaced the water pump with new kit. I asked about sealing plate to housing and was told there was some in the kit, only to see it was lube for the shaft. I just bolted plate down and finished job. Now I read a post where it sounds as if you have to seal bottom of plate. Is this true? Haven't ran it yet to check out. Wondering if I need to pull it and seal. Also do you seal the lower unit "webs" in casting to upper unit?
