Hey guys I bought this boat and the seat vinyl is in good shape but it is the 1970's olive green and just plain ugly! Is there any material or different ways to redo or cover these 6 seats on a budget?? If its too much I will just deal with it for this year and maybe save up for a good restore next year. Getting anxious to get it in the water. Thanks for the advice

Its as simple as a spray can, you can get vinyl dye in a rattle can that will work long enough for you to not feel self conscious because of the old color.

I haven't used any, but people here report very good results for the effort and money involved.

Thanks for the info. I am new to the boating world and have newver heard of that but sounds like a great idea. The only thing i wonder is with the extreme heat it is exposed to, whether or not it gets sticky even after it drys? I will look into it though THX

You can find it in most uto parts stores such s Napa . I have done many many car interior color changes with it and it works great and doesnt seem to be effected by heat . The side panels in my Starcraft were in great shape but since I am changing the colors of the boat to Red and White I felt the blue onb the original panels might have been just a bit to much so I am changing them to red .

You can give it a try but I never had any luck with that stuff on seats. Works great on panels. I think it may have to do with sweat reacting to the paint, held well, but it was always sticky when you sat on it.

OK here is my quick testamonial for painting vinyl seats with vinyl paint . This bar stool sits in my garage full time and I'm known to sit in it for hours at a time :D. I painted it over 2 years ago and it still looks half decent and doesnt stick to me . The trick is to clean the vinyl well before painting so the paint will actually adhere well to it . The stool is actually honestly due for a recover but its comfy and its in my garage so I dont mind the way it looks .

HAHAH! You buy stuff from HF that never gets opened, too :D

(pressure regulator on the wall)

LOL Lowkee I have a filter dryer here thats at least 3 years old I still havent taken out of the box ( they were onsale I got 3 of them ) :D. I also have several hundred dollars worth of copper and fittings I need to run around my shop as well as 2 50' self retracting hose reels still in boxes . I figure when its winter and I am locked inside here in the garage and its not nice outside I will get the airline system run and everything hooked up :D. I have a dryer right off of the big compressor now and 200' of air hose I can almost run it across the street so it hasnt been a priority to run the pipe :D. I also buy up the HVLP pint guns when they go onsale theres probably a dozen of them floating around here still in boxes :D.
