Hello all,
I am trying to do a link and sync after rebuilding the carbs.

The manual says the cam follower should hit the mark when the throttle shaft just starts to move. For this motor the mark is:
Pickup location C which is the center of the mark. There is also a note that says to loosen the clamp on the throttle shaft and move the roller to hit the mark.
It also says to use a stiff wire and alligator clip to exaggerate the throttle shaft movement.

Now the questions:
May seem stupid, but where exactly is the throttle shaft to attach the clip?
Also, there are two marks on the cam. Which one am I supposed to use?
Last one, I'm not sure what clamp they are talking about on the throttle shaft?

The pics in the manual are poor quality so its hard for me to identify. Here is a picture of the setup. If anyone could answer my questions it would be greatly appreciated.

That's ok. I think I figured out everything except which mark. Any idea? By the way, bought an oem manual today.

Ok, I'm going to take a stab that its the mark labelled start and the throttle shaft is the shaft with the roll pins on it that goes into the carb and opens/closes the butterflies. Unless someone corrects me.
