I am going to be installing "wedge" style seat bases and pedestals in my boat and am wondering about the stringer configuration.
Each pedestal base needs a 3.5" hole in the deck with 2.25" clearance below.
Obviously, my goal is to stay away from stringers with the hole saw and the mounting hardware.
Question is, where are the stringers? Do they run crosswise in the supports that are plain to see by the rivets on the outside of the hull, or are they vertical from stern to bow?
I've searched the restoration thread for answers, but can't get a firm grasp on what I'm looking at by the pics I see.
Since these are going to be some pretty large holes in the deck, I don't want to make a mistake.; Thanks in advance for your help guys (and gals?)
