Hi there, I have a Johnson 75ESL50B that I took on as a project. I worked on it about 8 yrs. ago and finally lost patience with it, at that time it had been parked for about 2 yrs. after being overheated.I replaced the impeller again, rebuilt the carbs, new fuel line, repelaced the rectifier after I realized that's why the tach' probably wasn't working, The PROBLEM!! sometimes it runs sometimes it doesn't, after putting it on the water early in the morn. the last 3 times and no start I noticed a pattern, I can only get spark when the outside temp.is above about 70 deg. I'm thinking it's the stator, any ideas. Thanks, MCM <br />
