75 hp 4 stroke mercury impeller maintenance

I have a 2015 75hp 4 stroke I did some maintenance on it calls for every 3 years to change the impeller so I did seemed some what easy it has no keys to lock it in. I'm not sure if I put it in backwards or if that even matters everything connected back I put a seat of muffs on it. It won't pee I'm stumped before I changed it the original one worked fine. Thanks

It needs a key. Should have come with the pump kit if you bought OEM.

A key did not come in the kit. When it was takin apart there was no key in it

Without a serial number, this diagram for SN 2B095049 and above, 75HP 4 stroke EFI item #25 is impeller key 28-8M0032833. Checking other 75 HP 4 strokes, the same impeller key is used.

Not without a serial number. Year mean nothing when looking for parts for Merc outboards.
