75 HP EFI 4 stroke upgrade

the 75 HP MERC 4 stroke EFI , can you remove the restricter plate and make it a 90 or 115?

a friend has one and would liek to bump it up

No.... as restrictor plate is used on carbed engines. The difference between a 75 and 90 is the ECU.

You are thinking of the 40/50/60 Mercury 4 strokes. They have a restrictor (#23) in the intake manifold along with the ECM can be modified.
