I have a 1989 75 hp Mariner 3 cylander which does not spark on any cylander. I have receintly replaced the switchbox. I checked all plugs for spark. Does anyone have any idea what could be the cause?

Re: 75 HP no spark

Disconnect the black/yellow kill wire at the switch box first and recheck for spark if that don't help we can give you the test procedure from CDI

Pull off the flywheel and inspect the magnets and stator coils, take a wire wheel to the flywheel magnets to clean them up, and emery cloth to the stator coils.

Re: 75 HP no spark

Laddies I did a resistance check and I am getting 507 for blue and 505 for red. The magnets on my flywheel look like one solid piece so I am assuming they are bolted in.

I would lean towards a stator but it would be nice to test the system with a DVA to know for sure. If your magnets ars bolted you should be able to see the screws that hold them.
