I own a nice 75 Johnson 9.9 HP 10R75C motor. She has been giving me a little trouble lately so I started troubleshooting her and realized the carb was leaking fuel through the gasket. I am going to rebuild that but I also noticed that the fuel bulb leaks fuel on the motor side when applying pressure to it so I am going to replace it and the lines before rebuilding the carb. The problem I am having is I want the OEM line and bulb kit and when I go to the evinrude/Johnson site they it says the OEM part # is 0386940 but when I go to other Sellers of OEM parts they say that part is outdated and that part #5008609 is now the current OEM part. So which do I go with? I want to trust eventide/Johnson but if it's outdated I prefer to get the newer one(which I can get 10-15$ cheaper anyways). Thoughts?
