75 vs 90

Just wondering I have a chance to replace my 1985 75hp with a 90 hp would I gain anything I get about 40 on a real good day now it wouldn't cost anything it's a freebie just needs a little tlc and some cosmetic stuff.

I would guess that you'd still be able to tow it at 40. Some 90's are the same weight as the 75's. Some are a tad heavier.<br /><br />Seriously, a bit more info would be helpful. What kind of boat? Is your 75 set up to the max now or is there more left in its set up?<br /><br />As mentioned, what brands?
