75hp Chrysler won't start

Hi all, Well I have a 1975 or so 75HP Chrysler outboard that won't start. I winterized it last year and now it just won't start. Cranks fine. I have new gas and a freshly charged battery. I have fuel to the carbs. I pulled the plugs and they all looked fine however they were wet. So it seems as though its not getting spark. It fired two or three times then nothing. It backfired once also. I traced for power to the coil and distributor and the power seems intermittent. I don't know much about outboards so any help would be appreciated. Thanks

When you winterized it did you remove the spark plug wires? Sounds like you may have them on the wrong plugs.

No sir... I took them off one plug at a time..... But thanks for the reply...
