75hp merc 4 stroke

Hello people just purchase a new lund boat 17 foot explorer powerd by a 75hp mercury 4 stroke, just wondering if anybody out their has the same or similar boat? Wondering if the boat has enough hp? It is a tiller handle and is maximum for this boat. Do you like this set up and is their any problems i should know about. Thanks.

it will be a little doggy but there isn't much you can do since your at the maximum HP rating for tiller. Isn't the Side steer rated at 150hp on that model? I fish with a guy that has a 18' Pro-v with a 90hp yamaha tiller and it does OK

1700 is rated for 125 in the SS. 1800 is rated for 150.

I saw someone was curious about whether anyone has been having problems with their boat starting in gear. I just wanted to know if anyone has been having such a problem... Please post if you have!
