I have a few things on my dash that I do not know what they do, anybody out there think they can tell me what they do? On the bottom right side from right to left, It strart's with the light switch which pulls out like in a car next to that is the tilt trim above these is the horn button. The one,s on the left are strange to me. Starting from left to right on the left side is a cigarette lighter and then a toggle switch that does who know's what ??? Then there is a RED lighted toggle switch that does who know's what ??? I think I am right on the one that I mentioned if not please let me know, does anyone have a boat owners manual for a ITRUDER ELITE. Here are some photo.s Is this stuff after market that someone put on if so,what could it be for there is no mount for a trolling motor unless it was a transom mount but there are no spare wires back there.

Umm, what happens when you flip the switches? It's possible that the toggle switch can shut off the cig lighter but probably not.

Have you tried to follow the wires?

Maybe the red one is for LASERS to shoot at annoying jet skiiers! ;)

A veritable potpourri of switches to choose from, not knowing what they do! Time for some electrical diagnostics, not hard but time comsuming. You up to it?:D

When one is in doubt about what a switch does, why not try following the wires from the switch to wherever it leads you. What you find at the end of the line is what the switch controls. The gauge you show in the picture on the far right is the Voltmeter. It tells you whether the charging system is working or not. Since a 12 volt battery will read 12.6 volts on a voltmeter, if the gauge is reading less than that with the engine running, the charging system is not working. If it reads anything above that (typically 13.5 - 14.5) with the engine running the system is charging. The round tilt/trim switch should be self explanatory. Tilt tilts the motor/outdrive and trim does the same thing but within specific limits while under way. The bilge pump and bilge blower should also be no mystery. Bilge pump pumps water out of the bilge. Bilge blower ventilates the engine bay to prevent build-up of explosive fumes. Run it for several minutes before starting the engine to avoid the entire going "kaboom".

I would use a test light to check for power to the switch. Then try to trace the wire back to whatever it is powering.
