76 Johnson 15 RPM's

How many RPM's should I look for with a 76 Johnson 15 hp, model 15r76h, at WOT with a light load? I believe the manufacturer's recommended operating range is 5500-6500, so should it be something towards the higher end, say 6300-6400? Thank you...
