76 Mercury 1150 water pump drive bearing shims??

Anyone know if I can get these shims or something like them at an auto parts store or lowes or anything I can substitute?
they didn't come in my water pump repair kit and i can't find them online?

Normally all you need to do on any Merc. is replace the shims you took out on tear down, have you lost some? If you really find you need them you will need to go to a dealer or a online Mercury dealer I don't know of any aftermarket shims available fot that job.

well this was a dee dee dee question on my part. i assumed it needed more shims because i could barely turn the driveshaft after i installed the new water pump and i assumed it was hitting the bearing. then i remembered that the new impeller is a tight fit until it loosens up.
