77 Four Winns....

Hi everyone! New to the forums, and trying to find out some more about my boat. I have had a 77 Four Winns 18' bowrider for 3 years now, and it runs great with my 87 Evinrude 140 on it. The registration when I purchased the bought was changed to reflect the new motor. Anyone know what the original motor on this was?

Thats the challenge....they only list 1986 and newer models... 77 is too far back

You may be out of luck then. Well as far as the motor goes it could be any then. Dealer combo or orignal owners choice.

In 77 Four Winns (Saf-T-Mate) did not have any specific motor manufacturerer that they preferred. It was usually left to the selling dealer to package the boats with an appropriate motor.

There is a 2 page catalog on the site for 77. It is under past catalogs, not past specs:
