I have a 77 Johnson 175 v6. I am not getting any spark on the stb side. I have read others with similiar problems that have been caused by a shift interupter. Could you please tell me if my motor has one and where it would be located? I can not find it on my motor or in my manual. Does this sound like it could be a stator problem? It appears to me that my port side power pack is getting power from the stator, but my stb side power pack is not. The last time that I was out my tach kept flickering on and off, that probably means that my stator is going out, right? Thanks for the help.

77 did not come with an interrupt switch. If you are getting power to one pack and not the other, seems logical the stator and magnets are the next place to look<br />Good luck

I switched the packs from side to side. Magically the problem switched from stb to port. A new power pack later and the problem seems to be fixed. I will take it out tomorrow and see if it is all fixed. Thanks for your help.
