I've come to learn that the single fuel pumps on these inline six motors is marginal. What can be done to upgrade the fuel pump ? Can an electric pump with an adjustable pressure regulator be used on these motors ? What's the hot tip on this subject. Thanx

That pump will flow more than you can use, it's the same pump thats used on a V-6(150-225hp) just a different backing plate. To increase flow a tad change the filter cover to the metal one as it uses a brass barb instead of plastic, The brass barb i.d is larger than the plastic one.

Monk, Sometimes the pulse hoses collapse. Make sure they are good, and put springs inside them if necessary.

BTW - I think the pumps are marginal, based upon my experience with them. My V6 has a completely different pump, and it works great.
