I need affirmation that i have indexed the flywheel to the flywheel timing belt cog correctly on my '78 1400 that has the CD Thunderbolt ignition. I installed the timing belt cog onto the crankshaft (no flywheel) and using a dial indicator i found TDC on #1 piston...i then indexed the dial indicator face marker to zero...so now i have TDC and the dial indicator on zero, i rotated the crankshaft CCW until the dial indicator needle rotated to .464 i then re-set the dial indicator face needle at this position...then i continued to rotate the crankshaft CCW about a 1/4 turn more, then i rotated the crankshaft CW until the dial needle came back to the .464 point on the dial face that i had previously marked...with the timing pointer installed, i then installed the flywheel onto the belt cog with the .464 mark on the flywheel as close as possible to the timing pointer (there was only one possible bolt pattern between flywheel and belt cog that got the 464 mark on the flywheel close to the pointer, then i adjusted the pointer to the 464 mark...DID I DO THIS CORRECTLY?
