78 chrysler bass runner question

This is my first boat and I have a couple of questions.
these two holes on the back below the motor...what are they called and what do they do?

I haven't had the chance to put it on the water but I am just trying to learn everything before I go out and sink to the bottom.

The hole to the left is the drain for the bilge, the one on the right is the inlet for your livewell pump (it's actually part of the pump itself).
