'78 Merc 1150 mounting bolt pattern. BIA?

I guess the title says it all. Does a 78 Merc 1150 have the BIA pattern used on evinrude engines?

Yes it does have a standard BIA Pattern.

steve, My '77 Merc inline 6 did not have the standard bolt pattern. I would doubt the '78 does

Ayuh,... That came about with the big V6s, didn't it,..??

The inline6 engine bracket was substiantially changed in 1980. JR
