When I turn the key to start the motor the solenoid just clicks, but motor will not turn over. I've replaced the rectifier and battery is fully charged. Any suggestions?

Jumper the starter from the battery using jumper cables. The top cable on the starter is the ground. If the motor cranks, either the battery cables are dirty or corroded, or the starter solenoid is bad.

Thanks. I'll check that after awhile. I'll report back if it doesn't work.

Nothing happened when I tried jumping the starter. Do it mean the starter is bad?

It may mean the starter is bad. Can you turn it with your fingers? Can you put an ohmmeter on it? Resistance should be pretty low. The ground cable to the cowling support is good, right?

It could have a bad brush. A starter shop may be able to fix it up. Aftermarket replacements are made by ARCO.
