Hi all,<br />After a day of fishing yesterday, with no problems with my motor, I noticed after pulling the boat out an oily residue inside the prop. I don't recall seeing this before. Is this something I should be concerned with.<br />Thanks
Nothing to be concerned about unless you store your motor in the carpeted livingroom. It's usually just unburned fuel residue. Alot of slow speed operation will produce more of it. Have a go on the water and run it like you stole it. This usually cleans things up.
Just keep an eye on the lower unit oil quality. It could be leaking out slightly, allowing water to seep in. If the oil looks milky, replace the o-rings and bushings.
