I put in a new fuel pump kit just the way the directions showed. The motor idles great, but when accelerating it hestitates and acted like it wanted to die or did quit. I put two used plugs in until I can get new ones. It will now go up to high speed but there is still hestation. Sometimes it dies when getting close to idle. Squeezing the bulb starts it again, so I'm thinking it is a fuel problem.

I tried a different fuel line, both with inline fuel filters. No change.

Could it be the male fuel plug?

There isn't any fuel leaks when pumping the bulb now that I put a lcamp on one hose. There was a little leakage but still fit tight before that.

It has had sea foam run through it.

Hate to take the starter and carb off but it might might be necessary.

Still looks like a fuel pressure thing and I don't have a gauge. Thanks.

Gas tank vent maybe? Mine has a vent that needs to be loosened up while running.

No, the gas vent was open. I took the carburetor of and there was a few dust type particles but nothing much.

Not long ago I replace that fuel line going from the vent under the carb bck to the side of the motor. It was very difficult getting at it. The plastic tie strip slipped off and the hose was slightly large so it didn't fit tight.

This hose supposedly takes excess fuel back to be reburned or something. Anyhow, I think maybe it was affecting the fuel/air mixture.

Will let you know how it does. Thanks.
