Well I got this tri-haul 16 foot 79 Larson good almost 10 years ago. Floor was rotten tore up some of the pieces of the floor with my hand didn't know what I was doing back then so I stopped shoved it in corner of the yard and sat there (I was 16). It has a 40hp Johnson missing the whole lower unit. Tested good for compression though I remember that...

Well wife wants me and her to work on it together (I know crazy) mainly to just do something and all the kids to help. I fully know I will be replacing all the stringers and transom I've done lot of research what I can find online. Going to be a fun adventure. I'm a trucker so I'm only home 3-4 days at a time.

So is it easier to tear floor apart with the cap on or off? And what is everyones recommendation of how do I find what model it is?

I'll have to post pictures Monday when I'm home of the boat. The hull is in awesome shape.

Been reading alot so figure I'd make an account to show progress and ask for advice and learn from people.

Thanks!
