hello all, haveing fun again . i have a 1979 v6 lower unit and it seems to me stuck in gear. when i turn the drive shaft the prop shaft turns one way no matter how i pull or push the shift rod it feels like it has a spring on the other end i can not shift it in to neutral or reverse. is this lower unit diffrent the my 1987 v6 lower,does this lower unit have to be turning to shift .it has sat for 2 years and the oil is dark ,with no water preasent.<br /> thanks <br /> John.
