Re: 7hp wards sea king clinton help?

Your motor is a Clinton 74-75 7 hp at 6,000 rpm.
Clinton has been out of business for some years.
The motor has an aircooled power head with a water cooled exhaust leg. Some Clintons use a Chrysler connector. If you look under Chrysler here on iboats there is probably the connector you need.
These motors are marginal performers.I wouldn't put
too much money into repairs.I feel you would be better off selling it and put the money toward a used Evinrude/Johnson/Gale 5, 5.5, 6, 7.5 From the mid 50s on up.All these motor will out perform the Clinton and they will do it smoother and quieter have full gear shift and routine parts are still readily available.
