Engine starts and runs great up to 3/4 throttle. Smooth as silk. No missing. No noises. Perfect. Once you open her up, the random popping noises start. New plugs. New coils. Took the fuel cell apart. some very light paint debris in screens, but no chips or blockages. Cleaned it all up and reinstalled. Compression was 170 to 180 across all 8 cylinders. Key on LP fuel is 15psi. Key on HP fuel is 50. BUT, both pressures tank to 0 as soon as the pump stops. My first questions. That can't be normal, right? Causes? When accelerating the HP pressure fluctuates rapidly between 25 and 55. That's when the engine is running fine. How, idk? When you get to WOT, the fuel pressure fluctuates rapidly between 40 and 48. Those numbers happened pretty much exactly the same on the boats tank and my test tank. After a good test run I pulled the plugs. They all looked about the same. Did have some white on them like they might be running lean, but no obvious problem on any one cylinder. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.
