have a 2004 8 hp. 4 stroke-j8r4sr, just had the water pump replaced this spring, now it doesnt seem to pump water out tell tale. need to know procedure to replace water pump. was charged 300.00 last time need to save money, have read many posts ,but not on this particular motor. detailed instructions would be very helpful, thanks for any help

Does the tell tale have sand or something in it ? Put it on muffs or in a barrel of water, start it up and run something like a packing slip wire up the pee hole tube and see what happens.
