'80 75 to '77 115 - harness compatibility?

Getting ready for a (hillbilly) upgrade. Found a '77 115 for a little bit of nothing and I'm picking it up this weekend.

Boat currently has a 1980 75 hp Evinrude on it (model ERLCSA) with the big red connector from the controls harness to the motor harness.

Anybody know if my current boat side wiring harness is compatible with the '77 115? The new motor comes with controls but they're side controls and I have binnacle controls. I can make it work either way but I'm curious if this is going to be one of those easy projects or if it's going to turn into a PITA with regards to wiring.

I think as long as the cannon plugs are the same color it will work. The plugs will be red or black.
Red to red, black to black.

Cool. Hopefully it's plug and play, if not it shouldn't be too much of a trick to pull key switch from the side control box and mount it on my console and still use my controls.
